Sustainable supply chain

By working closely with suppliers who meet our sustainability standards, we are moving towards a sustainable supply chain.

Sustainable supply chain

Every link in the chain is important.

By partnering with suppliers who share our values and comply with our sustainability standards, we ensure that all links in the chain share the same objectives - a sustainable supply chain.

In cooperation with our suppliers, we continually improve the quality and safety level of our products and strive to achieve a supply chain that meets our requirements in our own production facilities. Code of Conduct. In our experience, suppliers that score well on sustainability also score highly on quality.

The greatest sustainability impact of our products occurs in our supply chain, which we do not directly control. However, we leave nothing to chance and our systematic approach is described in our Supply Chain Sustainability Guideline. The aim of the guideline is to develop long-term relationships with our suppliers and improve their sustainability performance, including health and safety, environmental, social and business ethics. All our suppliers are required to meet the standards in the Code of Conductand for all those classified as "supplier at risk", we conduct regular sustainability audits, followed by corrective action plans.

Local presence that delivers results.

To ensure sustainable manufacturing of our products in Asia, Axel Johnson International has a local office in Ningbo, China. Our local representatives work closely with our suppliers to guide them in meeting our requirements. By having a local presence, we can systematically monitor and work towards responsible production, good working conditions and human rights, and that suppliers comply with our Code of Conduct.

"We make suppliers aware of their risks and show them opportunities for improvement through on-site audits. We solocate corrective action plans and conduct follow-up audits. So far, we see strong commitment and significant improvements from many of the suppliers."
