CHAIN

Chains are available in different grades, the choice of chain grade will depend on usage. It is important to use the chains correctly and to regularly check for deformation, wear and other risks that could affect their use.

TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT WHEN HANDLING WITH CHAINS

- Never lift with a twisted chain
- Use a shortening hook if the chain length does not fit your need
- Do not tie knots or use knotted chain.
- Protect from sharp edges
- Do not heat treat
- Avoid sudden movements when loading
- Never overload a hook at the tip only. The load should always be at the bottom of the hook. 

PERIODICALLY CHECK

- The chain should be replaced if it shows signs of elongation, deformation or cracks.
- Chain wear is measured in two perpendicular directions and can amount to a maximum of 10% of the original size.

CHEMICALS

Grade 80 and grade 100 chains should not be used in contact with acids or other aggressive chemicals. The devices must not be exposed to galvanization.

Maximum working load of the product.
